Destroyer was...

Destroyer was amazing. I was so happy.
So highlights from the night...

Devon Williams was part singer part stand up comedian.

Not having to go to the bar to buy drinks (thanks neon totting waitress).

Richard claims the set list early in the night.

Destroyer opens with Crystal Country? Nice.

Dan Bejar...this is sweeter than candy.

Wow, totally made Dan laugh. That was sweet. (check below for the full conversation)

And heres a picture!

Dan Bejar!>

And I got a shirt!

Ok, since nothing else is really going on besides the radio show (Tuesday nights from 9pm to Midnight! 90.7 FM if you are in the Fresno area, otherwise go to KFSR.org and steam it), here are some cool videos.

Portishead - The Rip

Pogo - Alice

The New Pornographers - Myriad Harbor

So heres how it went down. Dan Bejar is seen by some as a "pretentious, drunken twit." Ouch. I agree with the first two. Pretentious? Yes. Drunken? Sometimes. Twit? Not quite. So...

Dan: "Do you guys like dinner?"
Crowd: "Yeah!!!"
Dan: "Dinner is bullshit."
Crowd: "Uuhhh..."
Me: "Yeah!! FUCK DINNER!"
Dan: (chuckingly) "Wow, it's just I've never heard anyone say something like that before."

Ok, so my completely self-centered moment of glory is over now. A great memory...hope I can interview that man someday for the station. That would be the bee's knees.

Trouble in Dreams Tour 2008

Only 8 hours until I will be watching Destroyer live! I have to admit that I only recently became a huge fan of Destroyer, but didn't really expect to see them anytime soon. Thank you Mr. Bejar for coming out with a new CD which caused the tour. Thanks for coming to California! I think there will be pictures to come from tonight...I plan on getting a little wild.

Blog Numero Uno

Drama! Action!! Suspense! Love? Danger! Intrigue!

Now that I have your attention. This is the first blog post of Omnivores. I wish I had a better idea of what the content will actually be, but right now we cannot be sure. I know that it will definitely have be influences by music and life here in the San Joaquin Valley of California. What ever else makes its way on these pages managed to get lucky. So stay tuned for cool things like pictures, cool things on the internet, and reviews of albums, local shows and movies.

More to come...
